Don’t let it happen again

Posted on September 23rd, 2005 by User ImageAdministrator

Don’t let the rising price of gas dampen you American spirit, our free thinking is the only thing that will keep our country alive and thriving, I seem to remember back to the late 1970′s when people like Ralph Nader, who should have never been born, I’m sure that he was a mistake.

Our country almost buried a major piece of it’s automotive history, people started to let the old American car rot in the back yard, and turn in to a pile of rust, or sent them to be crushed, in an effort to lower emissions and save gas, the god’s honest truth is that cars only make about 3% of the smog in our air, but they were just any to attack.

People could believe that old cars would just kill our environment, and our earth’s natural resources, cars were just an easy mark, it was easier to attack the old cars then it was to place the blame where it belongs, which was on the factories that were spewing toxins into our atmosphere at an alarming rate.

I remember an issue of Car Craft magazine in about 1978 or 79 that had a tombstone on the front cover, and on the stone it read high performance born 1950 died 1979, let’s not let it happen again, it just makes us the idiots, when we turn our backs on our countries Automotive history.

Cars aren’t the blame for our environment dwindling away, money and enterprise are, don’t believe people like Ralph Nader, I’m sure we have another one just waiting to take his place to try to get the old cars removed from the roads, stand up for your car, if you love it, then back up it’s right to survive.

Stand up for you right to drive whateve you want to drive, we don’t all have to downgrade to import cars to save our countrie’s environment, we need to buy American more now then we ever did.
